6th Annual Ride for Survival

On August 29th, 2009, the Women on Wheels MN Chapter sponsored the sixth annual Ride for Survival. More than one hundred riders rode the 75 mile scenic route, raising over $4000 to support the work of Day One®. 

Ramona Damiani, Chair of the 2009 Ride for Survival, was instrumental in organizing the event and making it a success. “Day One® is an ideal partner for Women on Wheels®. When we help Day One® we are giving domestic violence victims a chance at a peaceful life,” said Damiani.

The proceeds raised by the ride will assist Day One® to answer more than 9,000 calls from victims of domestic violence, and pay transportation costs for domestic violence victims in need of emergency safe housing.
